Privacy Policy

AlphaFixe is committed to protecting personal information in the course of its business in accordance with applicable legislation. This section summarizes our policies and procedures in this regard. All AlphaFixe employees and consultants are required to comply with these policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality and protection of our customers' personal information.

AlphaFixe implements a set of safeguards to ensure the confidentiality of its customers' personal information, to protect it against loss or theft, as well as against unauthorized disclosure or access. These measures include restricted access to premises, technological measures such as external backups and archiving processes to protect customers' personal information, management of access to personal information, and rigorous review of and contractual agreements with external suppliers.

AlphaFixe may collect, use, disclose and safeguard personal information about customers or their representatives with their consent or as permitted or required by law.

With regard to customers, AlphaFixe collects personal information during the account opening process and subsequent updates in order to identify them and provide them with products and services, in accordance with applicable regulations (notably, securities regulations, various tax laws, as well as laws aimed at combating money laundering and the financing of terrorist activities). The collection of personal information is also intended to enable the company to comply with the applicable regulatory requirements to which it is subject.

With regard to Employees, the Company may collect information on experience, qualifications, curricula vitae and motivation letters, background checks, evaluations carried out from time to time, remuneration, bank details and certain other PR generated by the employment relationship.

The personal information collected is to be used in connection with the employment contract between AlphaFixe and the Employee. This collection is done in order to offer services that benefit employees, such as payroll services, group insurance and pension plans, and the management of cellular services.

When personal information is collected, it must be used only for the purposes of the mandate granted to AlphaFixe by the customer, or in accordance with the exceptions provided for in the applicable legislation. Personal information collected from an employee shall only be used in connection with the employee's employment with AlphaFixe.

In some cases, AlphaFixe may need to provide personal information obtained from its customers and employees to outside suppliers in order to provide agreed-upon services or to administer the business or employment relationship. Where appropriate, AlphaFixe assesses the adequacy of the measures taken by such external suppliers to maintain the confidentiality and security of your personal information. We also require that they use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was provided to them.

In certain circumstances, the law may also require us to disclose personal information in our possession to government authorities or agencies, or to regulatory or self-regulatory bodies. We may also be required to do so by law. Certain external suppliers may also use technologies or infrastructures to host or process data that are not located in Quebec or Canada. Similarly, the authorities and courts of the countries where these external suppliers are located could, in certain circumstances, compel them to provide access to the personal information they contain.

When personal information is collected from customers or employees, it is retained for the period during which the customer maintains an account with AlphaFixe or the employment relationship continues, and for such period thereafter as may be necessary to enable AlphaFixe to comply with applicable regulations.

Personal information shall be retained only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes. When personal information is no longer required, it is securely destroyed.

You have the right to access and rectify your personal information, and may request access to it. You may also challenge the accuracy and completeness of your personal information and, if we believe an error has been made, we will amend it in accordance with your instructions.

If we have reason to believe that a privacy incident involving personal information in our possession has occurred, we will take reasonable steps to minimize the risk of harm and to prevent similar incidents in the future. Where appropriate, AlphaFixe will also comply with regulatory and contractual notification and documentation obligations relating to such incidents.
