As Senior Portfolio Manager, Michel is responsible for analyzing, recommending and monitoring securities held in portfolios. He also participates in the establishment of active management strategies as well as in client-partner relationships.

Prior to joining AlphaFixe Capital, he served as Director, Corporate Bonds at National Bank Financial covering over 100 investment grade and high-yield companies and distributing research to over 500 institutional clients. In addition, Michel worked at Addenda Capital as Senior Portfolio Manager, where he oversaw a portfolio of over 6 billion dollars of investment grade corporate bonds as well as income trust securities. Michel also evolved in the private placement market at Caisse de depot et placement du Québec, covering high-yield investments and Bank Loans.

Michel has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Moncton University (1997), as well as graduated with a Master’s degree in Finance from University of Sherbrooke (1998). He is also a CFA charterholder.
